NP_CommentCotrol plugin
This plugin is a very effective way to fight spam in comments, and to authorise comments.
CommentControl can do for you:
- only registered members can post comments without your approval
- other comments are not published immediately, but only after approved
- comments pending approval are shown in Admin Area to admins, left menu
- by default, only comments from visitors for articles older than 30 days are subject to comment control, you can change this, however, in CommentControl plugin options, if you enter 0 hero, all comments, even for the latest articles, will have to be approved (for visitors)
- in CommentControl plugin options you can also set timeout in seconds (30s by default) that user has to wait for submitting a second comment, this effectively prevents automated comment spam
- CommentControl also prevents same comment from same user (IP address) being posted twice
